Herbal Remedies for Addiction





In Ayurveda, the purpose of the treatment is to balance the doshas that are aggrevated. When treating a person abusing substances, the aim is to locate the main aggrevated dosha and renew it to a level of stability. Herbal Remedies are useful in treating the withdrawl symptoms. This will help remove toxins in the body encouraging the regeneration of cells and tissues.

To help cure the addiction, remedies that are used consist of taking a half a lemon and squeezing the juice into a glass of water. This should be taken frequently throughout the day. Ginger tea should also be taken about twice a day. Another useful treatment involves the use of Cumin. Cumin is an excellent herb for cleaning the bladder and the kidneys, alleviating fatigue, aches and pains,good for the digestive system and bowel function. Boil a teaspoon of cumin in water to make a tea.
